“Silver Salon Series” Launches in 2023

Silver has launched the “Silver Salon Series,” which is a series of small, invitation-only gatherings for clients, colleagues and industry experts that are designed to encourage open and honest discussions about a variety of industry topics and trends, and to share professional experiences and ideas on how to tackle present and future business challenges.

The regulatory landscape continues to be challenging for private fund managers in 2023, which has created a unique set of challenges for firms operating in this environment. In an effort to address and overcome these potential hurdles, Silver has launched a new series of small, invitation-only gatherings for clients, colleagues and industry experts that are designed to encourage discussions (i) about diverse industry topics and trends; (ii) to share professional experiences and ideas on how to tackle present and future business challenges; and (iii), most importantly, to have great conversations.

Silver Salon Series promises to be different than other industry events

The “Silver Salon Series” promises to be different from other industry events. While the content and discussions at these events will be educational and informative, these events will be intimate and casual in tone and structure, so you will not be bombarded with boring PowerPoint presentations or long-form prepared remarks. Instead, the “Silver Salon Series” is designed to bring together like-minded, private fund community thought leaders to have open and honest conversations about current issues and trends occurring in the regulatory compliance space.  The concept is for our community to learn from each other and from industry experts, as well as network and to pick the brains of Silver’s leadership team.

Quite simply, these are forums of open dialog in a comfortable and welcoming environment designed to encourage group participation and idea sharing.

How it works

Each “Silver Salon Series” event will focus on a specific topic, with a few thought starter statements or questions provided to attendees in advance, with the intention  to provoke a lively discussion. We are open to ideas on relevant themes to address at these events, so feel free to email us with your thoughts on trends or topics that are timely and important to you and your business.

Attendance at these exclusive events will be by invitation only, which will ensure that participants are targeted by topic and professional interests.  This will promote a lively discussion on a specific theme. Given that these in-person events are intended to be small and intimate group settings, space will be very limited, so we encourage invitees to RSVP as soon as possible.

Silver’s host for the evening will welcome guests, introduce the topic, ask questions and open the floor to attendees to provide their insight. Ultimately, we encourage guests to come prepared with their thoughts on the topic at hand in order to share collective experiences and to openly express these ideas to the group to help us all learn and grow in our industry.

Why you should attend

  • Learn from and share your experiences with like-minded compliance and ESG professionals.
  • Expand your external network and meet new people.
  • Learn about key topics and trends occurring in the regulatory space.
  • Spend time on your personal and professional development.
  • Gain access to C-Suite industry leaders and experts.

These events will be in-person, interactive sessions so we do ask for attendees to take part in the discussion and share their experiences. Additionally, the Silver Salon Series will be held under Chatham House Rule (participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed).

If you would like more information about the “Silver Salon Series”, or have a topic you think would be a good addition to the event, please contact Silver’s CEO, Fizza Khan ([email protected]) or Silver’s Head of ESG Strategy, Trysha Daskam ([email protected]).
