Nicholas Nunez Joins as Director and Travis Burkel Joins as Associate
NEW YORK, June 19, 2019 /PRNewswire/ – Silver Regulatory Associates (Silver), a firm specializing in compliance for the investment industry, continues to steadily expand with the addition of Nicholas Nunez as a director and Travis Burkel as an associate, both based in New York. Officially launched this past January, Silver was founded to help established and emerging investment firms design and maintain compliance programs.
Having served in roles both internally and as an outside advisor, Nicholas brings to Silver more than a decade of experience in regulatory compliance. He works with investment advisers and broker dealers with respect to their registration with regulatory authorities, implementation of their compliance programs and preparation for regulatory audits.

Prior to joining Silver, Nicholas served as the deputy director of compliance at Commonwealth Opportunity Capital (CWOC), an SEC and CFTC-registered adviser, where he ensured the completion of numerous aspects of the firm’s compliance program including the development and execution of policies and procedures, administration of forensic testing, the management of compliance trainings and the cybersecurity responsible officer, among other duties. Earlier, Nicholas was an associate director at CounselWorks LLC. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University.
Previous to joining Silver as a compliance platform specialist, Travis was an investigator for the United States Department of Agriculture where he investigated financial crime within the livestock industry, as well as conducted various compliance and regulatory reviews for the USDA. He received a B.S. in Food Safety and an M.S. in Economics from the University of Arizona where he focused on econometric analysis.
